Privacy policy

This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you visit digitallspace.com, buy something, or write to us. 

The company responsible for your information is Digitall Space LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 17373215, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

What we collect and why:
When you buy from us we collect your name, email address, billing address and country, along with the details of your order. We need these to take your payment, deliver the product and give you support afterwards. We also keep a record of the confirmation you give at checkout about immediate delivery, because we may need it if a payment is later disputed.

Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and any other provider shown at checkout. We only ever see the last four digits of your card and whether the payment succeeded. Your full card details go directly to the payment provider and never reach us.

If you sign up for our emails we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects access to anything you have already bought. Order confirmations and download links are not marketing and we will always send those.

Our website records basic technical information such as your browser, approximate location and the pages you visit. We use it to keep the site secure and, where you have agreed to it, to understand how the site is used. We do not ask for any sensitive information.

Why we are allowed to hold it:
We handle your order details because we need them to perform the contract you enter into when you buy from us. We keep order and payment records afterwards because tax and company law requires it. We send marketing email only where you have asked us to, and you can withdraw that at any time without affecting anything you have already bought. Where we look at how the site is used, we do that on the basis of the consent you give through the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw it whenever you like.

Who we share it with:
Our store runs on Shopify, which hosts the site and processes orders on our behalf. We also use a payment provider, an email provider and a file delivery service. Each of them only receives what it needs to do its job. Our accountant sees transaction records as required for tax and company filings. We may share information with advisers or authorities where the law requires it.

Where your information goes:
Not all of our suppliers are in the United Kingdom. Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders on our behalf, stores data in the United States and Canada, and our email and file delivery providers may do the same. When information leaves the UK or the EEA it is protected by the safeguards the law requires — an adequacy decision covering the country concerned, or standard contractual clauses together with the UK addendum to them. If you want to see which safeguard applies to a particular supplier, write to us and we will tell you. We do not sell your personal information and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it:
We keep order and payment records for six years, because UK tax and company law requires it. Support messages are kept for three years. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a note of your address so that we do not contact you again by mistake. When a period ends we delete the information or anonymise it.

Your rights:
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@digitallspace.com and we will respond within a week.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, United Kingdom, or through ico.org.uk. If you live outside the United Kingdom you can complain to the data protection authority in your own country instead. We would much rather you came to us first.

Cookies:
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work as they keep your basket, your session and the checkout functioning, and they cannot be switched off without breaking the store. We also use cookies that remember your preferences and help us see how the site is used, and those are only set once you agree through the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. We honour Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser.

Security and changes:
We use encrypted connections, limit who can access our systems and rely on Shopify's payment infrastructure. No system is completely secure, but if something went wrong that affected your information we would tell you and notify the regulator as required.

We may update this policy when what we do with your information changes, or when the law does. The current version always lives at this address, and the date at the end tells you when it last changed.
